$20.00 per hourSchedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Assist the special education teacher in meeting the instructional, physical, behavioral, and emotional needs of students with disabilities. Provide support in self-help skills, hygiene, motor skills, behavior management, positive interactions, instructional activities, small-group practice, and data collection. Work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of assigned certified teacher(s). Attend relevant professional development.Qualifications:
Education /Certification:
High School Diploma or GED Must meet one of the following ESSA requirements:- Completed at least 30 college hours, or
- Obtained an associate's degree or higher, or
- Passed a formal State or Local academic assessment Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate Must complete and maintain:
- Crisis intervention/restraint training
FERPA, HIPAA, & TBSI
training Special Knowledge /Skills:
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions Ability to work well with students and staff Strong interpersonal skillsExperience:
Experience working with children required Experience supporting students with:- Autism spectrum disorder
