Assistant Teacher/Floater Framboyant Learning Center - 5.0 McAllen, TX Job Details Full-time $9 - $10 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Spanish CPR Certification English High school diploma or GED Cleaning Full Job Description Teacher Assistant / Floater (Ages 18 Months - Pre-K 4) About the Role We are looking for a warm, reliable, and adaptable Teacher Assistant to join our early childhood team! This position supports classrooms across our program, from infants and toddlers (18 months) through Pre-K 4. As a Floater, you'll step into different classrooms as needed, helping maintain ratios, supporting lead teachers, and providing children with the consistent, nurturing care they deserve — no matter which room you're in. What You'll Do Assist lead teachers with daily classroom routines, including meals, diapering/toileting, nap time, and transitions Rotate between classrooms (infants, toddlers, twos, preschool, and Pre-K) to help maintain required staff-to-child ratios Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being Support age-appropriate learning activities, playtime, and curriculum implementation Help create a warm, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment Communicate positively and professionally with children, families, and coworkers Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety guidelines, and center policies Step in confidently and calmly when covering unfamiliar classrooms What We're Looking For Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED required Experience working with children ages 18 months-5 years preferred (childcare, teaching, nannying, or similar) CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements Comfortable adapting to different classrooms, routines, and age groups throughout the day Patient, energetic, dependable, and a strong team player Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and to sit, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required
Pay:
$9.00 - $10.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
