Job Summary Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Afternoon Toddler and Preschool Assistant Teacher, working from 2pm to 6pm. In this dynamic role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by assisting teaching teams in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster curiosity, social skills, and foundational learning for children in our care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact during the afternoon hours while gaining valuable classroom experience. Duties Assist classroom teams in implementing daily lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and early childhood development skills. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and guiding children through routines and activities. Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities, planned projects, and curriculum extension activities. Help with toddler care tasks such as diapering, feeding, and supervising outdoor playtime. Foster inclusive learning environments by working effectively with children with diverse needs. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to safety and health standards. Communicate regularly with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's growth. Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and behavior management techniques Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues Ability to manage classroom routines confidently while maintaining a positive environment and attitude Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous Embark on a rewarding journey where your passion for teaching young learners can flourish!
