Job Description

Primary Purpose:
Help meet instructional needs of students in various grade levels. Assist with classroom teachers in planning and preparing for classroom instruction. Work under general supervision of principal and immediate direction of classroom teacher(s).
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or hold a General Educational Development (GED) certificate Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (Preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work with children Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervising teacher Ability to communicate effectively
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Student Management Work with individual student(s) or small groups on classroom instruction assigned by the teacher Assist students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom and other duties. Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of assigned student(s). Other Maintain confidentiality. Participate in professional development programs, faculty meetings, and special events as assigned. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
