Position Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Medical Assistant Instructor to join our Richardson campus team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality classroom and lab instruction within our Medical Assistant program, preparing students for certification and entry-level healthcare careers. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with a positive attitude, a passion for teaching, and a genuine commitment to student success. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction covering medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, clinical procedures (vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, wound care), administrative skills (scheduling, medical records, billing/coding, insurance processing), pharmacology, medical law & ethics, and patient communication Demonstrate proper clinical techniques and supervise student practice to build competency and confidence Create, revise, and implement daily lesson plans aligned with program curriculum and accreditation standards Evaluate student performance through quizzes, exams, skills check-offs, and clinical competencies; provide timely feedback and remediation Maintain accurate student records including attendance, grades, and academic progress Mentor students and model professionalism, ethical behavior, and lifelong learning in healthcare Ensure a safe, organized learning environment with properly maintained lab equipment and supplies Collaborate with the Director of Training and Campus Director on curriculum needs and certification exam preparation (CMA, RMA) Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory changes in medical assisting education Perform other instructional duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical/outpatient setting (front and back office experience preferred)
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Required:
Active certification — CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or equivalent recognized credential
Preferred:
Teaching, training, or precepting experience in a healthcare or educational setting
Preferred:
Knowledge of accreditation standards and certification exam preparation
Preferred:
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical office software Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles Passion for education and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals
