INFANT TEACHER

First Methodist Weekday School is looking for a caring, dependable, and nurturing Part-Time Infant Teacher to join our childcare team! If you love working with babies, enjoy creating a warm and safe environment, and want to make a difference in the lives of young children and their families, we would love to hear from you!

Position:

Part-Time Infant Teacher Responsibilities Include:

Providing loving, attentive care to infants throughout the day Maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment Feeding, diapering, and comforting infants according to their individual needs Following each child's feeding, sleeping, and care routines Engaging infants in age-appropriate activities that encourage development and learning Communicating with parents and classroom staff about children's daily needs and progress Following all school policies, health and safety procedures, and Texas childcare licensing requirements Maintaining accurate classroom and child-care documentation Working cooperatively with other teachers and staff

The Ideal Candidate:

Loves working with infants and young children Is patient, nurturing, dependable, and responsible Has excellent communication and teamwork skills Can work well in a busy childcare environment Is willing to learn and follow classroom procedures Has a genuine desire to support the growth and development of young children

Requirements:

Must meet applicable Texas childcare licensing requirements Must pass required background checks and screening Must complete required childcare training Previous infant or childcare experience preferred CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Pay:

$11.00 - $13.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 40.0 per week
