Job Description

Spearman High School is seeking an inclusion paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a non-certified position. Paraprofessional will assist in the general education setting. The district contributes $466 towards employee health insurance.
Primary Purpose:
Provide instructional assistance to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher. Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing of classroom activities.
Qualifications:
(1) The ability to communicate effectively in English (2) high school diploma or GED (3) Valid Texas educational aide certificate (4) Applicant must undergo FBI Fingerprinting and a criminal history check before employment
Special Knowledge/Skills:
1. Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, mathmatics, science, and other subjects 2. Ability to work well with students, teachers, and administrators
Responsibilities/Duties:
1. Provide instruction to students under the direction of teacher; work with individual students or small groups 2. Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials 3. Help maintain student records and reports 4. Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers 5. Help supervise students inside and outside the classroom 6. Participate in staff development training programs 7. Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned
