Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available Montessori Reggio Academy in Sugar Land is hiring an Assistant Teacher / Floater to support our classrooms serving children ages 3 years and up. We are looking for a dependable, energetic, and professional team member who is passionate about early childhood education and enjoys helping young children learn, grow, and build confidence. In this role, you will assist lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe classroom environment while also floating between classrooms as needed to support daily operations, staffing needs, and student ratios. Required Availability Applicants must be able to work one of the following shifts: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM Please do not apply if you are not available to work one of these required schedules. Position Responsibilities Support lead teachers with daily classroom routines and age-appropriate learning activities Assist with activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Engage children through play, storytelling, classroom lessons, and hands-on learning experiences Help supervise children during work time, meals, transitions, outdoor play, and rest time Float between classrooms as needed while maintaining professionalism and consistency Support positive behavior management and help maintain classroom expectations Help with classroom setup, organization of materials, and preparation for daily activities Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment Follow all health, safety, licensing, and school policies Observe and support children while communicating any concerns to the lead teacher or administration Work collaboratively with teachers, administration, and families in a professional manner Maintain confidentiality and follow all mandated reporting expectations Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience working in the United States in a private school, preschool, or licensed childcare setting Experience working with children ages 3 years and older Strong understanding of early childhood development and classroom routines Must be dependable, punctual, flexible, and professional Must be able to work one of the required shifts listed above Must be able to pass all required background checks Must be willing to complete all required training Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to support positive behavior guidance in the classroom First aid and pediatric first aid training is highly desirable Experience with Montessori or Reggio Emilia is a plus Experience supporting children with different learning needs is a plus Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, energetic, and confident working with young children in a structured school environment.
