Apply Apply Description Job Summary:
An Assistant Special Education Teacher, under the direction and supervision of the Directors, will be responsible for the supervision and one-on-one instruction of students with mild disabilities. Duties/Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Provides supervision and instruction to students with special needs Supervise students with special needs during lunch Provide consistent communication to the Directors regarding students Provide guidance and support to students in a positive manner May be required to teach small groups of students
Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities:
Must work well under pressure and have the ability to diffuse highly emotional situations Experience in Special Education is desired but not required
Education/Experience:
Earned an Associates Degree OR Earned 48 college credit hours OR Successfully completing a basic academic skills (parapro) exam within the first week of hire Opportunities to move into other positions in the school and in the special education department.
Salary:
