$20.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience

About Us:

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and professional Special Education Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our Special Education Department. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with special education procedures, maintaining accurate records, coordinating meetings, and providing excellent customer service to families, staff, and partnering agencies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate special education meetings, including IEP, eligibility, evaluation, and team meetings. Prepare and distribute meeting notices and supporting documentation. Enter and maintain student data in special education systems and records. Monitor timelines and assist with compliance tracking. Coordinate with other LEAs to ensure special education records are requested, received, and transferred in a timely manner. Maintain organized and confidential student files. Answer phones and provide exceptional customer service to parents, staff, and community partners. Prepare reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and departmental documents. Manage calendars and scheduling as assigned. Support special education administrators and staff with administrative duties. Coordinate vision and hearing screenings

Qualifications:
Required:

High school diploma or equivalent. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Exceptional organizational, communication, telephone and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Preferred:

Associate Degree or higher and/or Administrative Assistant Certification. Experience in education or special education settings. Experience with student information or special education data systems.
