Job Overview Provides support to our Essential Elements classrooms assisting in the supervision and instruction of severely special needs students; observing and documenting student progress; implementing plans for instruction; and assisting students by providing for special health care needs. Applicants must apply to the district website: https://jobs.redroverk12.com/org/CCSD Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs Support students with disabilities by providing one-on-one or small group instruction in core subjects such as literacy, math, and social skills Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques Facilitate communication using American Sign Language (ASL) or other augmentative communication methods when applicable Prepare instructional materials, assist with lesson planning, and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning styles and developmental levels Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement Collaborate with teachers, therapists, parents, and specialists to monitor student progress and contribute to ongoing educational planning Skills Experience working with children in early childhood education settings or preschool environments Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management strategies Familiarity with special education practices, including IEP development and implementation Proficiency in teaching methods for children with autism, developmental disabilities, or speech/language delays Ability to communicate effectively using verbal skills and American Sign Language (ASL) when necessary Strong behavior management skills to support positive student interactions and learning outcomes Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, and math instruction for young learners Compassionate attitude toward working with children requiring childcare or toddler care support Previous private school or Montessori classroom experience is a plus but not required Join us in creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and empowered!
