Job Description
Traverse Mountain Elementary is a beautiful school filled with a positive welcoming staff. Our teachers work closely as grade level teams to plan curriculum for their classrooms and work as a team to support students who need extra help and/or extensions. The teacher's assistants/aides are a valuable part of each grade level team. We are looking for a teachers aide to work about 16-17 hours a week; 5.5 hours per day (Mon, Wed, Fri) 7:45-2:00 or 8:15-2:30 for the remainder of the school year (starting August 19, 2026). The teacher's aide will work with multiple grade level teaching teams, depending on their schedule. Others may teach reading phonics lessons to individual students or small groups or work with individual students one on one. Aides help supervise the safety of children during arrival and dismissal along with their recess and lunch.
