Childcare Provider We are looking for part-time caregivers for our toddler room. You will help children develop important skills and behaviors that they will use throughout their lives. Caregivers must have great love and patience for children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and developmentally appropriate practices, as well as the ability to engage children and earn their trust. The goal is to contribute to the child's healthy mental, cognitive, physical, and emotional development. Part-Time position Monday-Friday mornings 8:30 am - 1:30 pm and afternoons 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
Duties:
Assist the co-teacher in following a creative program suitable for children Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, singing, etc.) Childcare practices (feeding, diaper changing, soothing children, etc.) Observe each child and help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Experience:
Experience in group childcare preferred Understanding of the principles of child development Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms Excellent communication and teamwork skills Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable A balance between a creative mind and practical acumen Be 18 years old and able to pass a background check At St. Paul's Preschool, we strive to create a warm and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
