Summary Under the supervision of the Education Manager, the teacher assistant assists the teacher with the functions of the classroom. The assistant provides a variety of functions, such as preparing class materials, assisting with activities, working with children, helping take documentation on children, etc. Description Classified position is announced to all interested applicants. Salary Grade 3 $17.24 per hour (2026-2027 Support Salary Schedule)THIS POSITION WILL BE WORKING WITH CHILDREN 3 - 5 YEARS OLD. GENERAL FUNCTION
Under the supervision of the Education Manager, the teacher assistant assists the teacher with the functions of the classroom. The assistant provides a variety of functions, such as preparing class materials, assisting with activities, working with children, etc.QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS
1. High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience. 2. The equivalent of two years (48 semester hours) full-time education at an institution of higher education; an associates degree or a CDA (Child Dev. Associate Credential), or working on a CDA. (or willingness to complete CDA upon hiring) 3. Interpersonal and communication skills. 4. Secretarial/clerical skills, including ability to operate a computer may be required.Job Type:
