Terra Linda Elementary Applicant must be able to work with special education students in both small group and individual settings. In addition, applicant must be able to display patience, positive interactions, and be able to support teacher in meeting student IEP and behavior goals. Applicant must be highly qualified. This would include one of the following: Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college/university; or 48 semester hours from an accredited college/university; or Pass the ParaPro Assessment Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department. Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment. Additional 40 hours of training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 5 upon completion.
