Floater / Classroom Support Teacher Connections Early Learning Center is looking for a flexible, dependable, and relationship-focused Floater / Classroom Support Teacher to join our team! This is a unique position for someone who enjoys working with children of all ages and likes that no two days are exactly the same. Our Classroom Support Teacher plays an important role in making sure teachers have the time and support they need to do their best work while ensuring children continue to receive meaningful, engaging experiences throughout the day. What You'll Do As our Floater / Classroom Support Teacher, you will: Provide coverage for Lead Teachers during scheduled lesson planning and preparation time Provide staff with bathroom and personal breaks Cover teacher lunch breaks Step into classrooms when a teacher is absent or additional classroom support is needed Support classrooms across our programs, from infants through elementary-age children Assist with classroom closing responsibilities Build positive, responsive relationships with children and support their social-emotional development Follow classroom routines while remaining flexible as the needs of the classroom change Support teachers in creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environments Participate in classroom activities, projects, outdoor play, meals, transitions, and daily routines Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for children Communicate professionally and respectfully with teachers, administrators, children, and families Be willing to learn and implement CELC's educational philosophies and practices, including Reggio-inspired education, Conscious Discipline, child-led learning, and play-based learning Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities Jump in wherever you are needed to help our center and teaching team succeed!
