Job Description
Overview Inquisiminds is seeking an engaging and dynamic Teacher Assistant to join our educational team, where your enthusiasm and dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs. In this role, you will support classroom instruction, assist with behavioral and developmental challenges, and foster an inclusive environment that promotes growth and success for all learners. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to collaborate with educators to enhance educational experiences for children participating in our homeschool enrichment program. Responsibilities Aid in classroom set up/breakdown/cleaning including putting name tags on tables. Ensure students are staying safe and standing away from the Kiss and Ride line during drop-off and pick-up. Help students unpack lunches and outdoor shoes and find their seat in the classroom. Ensure students are on task and follow the Honor Code during classes, lunch and recess. Escort younger students to the restroom. Assist any child needing help with the lesson. Supervise students during recess. Supervise lunch and help students with opening of any food items. Ensure there are NO NUTS in student lunches. Ensure students are packed up at the end of the day and no items are left behind. Take students that are going home outside to the Kiss and Ride line. Supervise afternoon Games club and help set up for afternoon classes. Be cognizant of the day's schedule and where you are needed - it may be different each day. Requirements Prior experience working with students, some neurodiverse, in classroom or childcare environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of classroom management techniques. Strong verbal communication skills to allow for effective collaboration with teachers and students. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining professionalism at all times. Must allow for flexibility in schedule throughout the day.
