Afternoon Teacher Qualifications:

At least 18 years of age and have completed high school or GED equivalent At least two years experience in early childhood education or related field Of good character and reputation Capable of leading a group of children in engaging and stimulating activities Capable of maintaining control and accountability for the whereabouts and safety of children at all times. Capable of carrying out assigned responsibilities Capable of accepting training Capable of communicating effectively both orally and in writing as applicable to job responsibilities First Aid and CPR certified, or willing to get certification Willing to obtain MAT certification at the director's request Trained in discipline, health and safety, and recognizing/preventing child abuse and neglect, with certification upon hiring Willing to attend monthly staff meetings and additional training as needed

• Conditions of Employment Must satisfactorily complete pre-employment background checks and health exam Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs., walking, bending, stooping, and standing as needed. Must complete a six-month probationary period demonstrating competency in all areas of requirement for performance of duties.
