Job Summary:
The Goddard School in Midlothian is looking for a flexible, dependable, and energetic Floater Teacher to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children of various ages and is looking for part-time, consistent afternoon hours. Floater Teachers support our classrooms by giving scheduled teachers breaks, covering end-of-day shifts, and assisting with closing routines. Whether you're a high school senior, college student, or someone with a love for working with kids, we'd love to meet you!
Key Responsibilities:
Step into classrooms as needed to provide support to lead and assistant teachers Help supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities across various classrooms (infants through Pre-K) Ensure classroom safety, cleanliness, and organization during transitions and closings Build positive, nurturing relationships with children, staff, and families Follow school policies and licensing regulations
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years old Experience with or interest in working with young children preferred Willingness to be flexible and float to various age groups throughout the day Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Why Join Our Team?
