Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our educational team at Orange County High as a full-time Instructional Assistant. The successful candidate will support teachers in delivering high-quality instruction and provide assistance to students in their learning processes. This position is ideal for someone passionate about education and committed to fostering a positive learning environment. Responsibilities Assist teachers in the preparation and implementation of instructional materials and lesson plans. Support individual students and small groups in academic activities, reinforcing concepts taught in the classroom. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers on student performance and behavior. Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Assist with classroom management and discipline, ensuring that students adhere to school policies. Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement strategies for supporting students with diverse learning needs. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive educational community. Perform administrative tasks as needed, including maintaining student records and preparing reports. Assist with the supervision of students during lunch, recess, and other non-classroom activities. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents. Knowledge of instructional strategies and classroom management techniques. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to the needs of students and staff. Proficiency in basic computer applications and educational software. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically and socially. Must pass background checks and meet any other state or district requirements for employment in a school setting.
