Recreational Program Aide:
2026-27 The City of Staunton Parks & Recreation has a great part-time opportunity to join our HEART family. The HEART (Healthy Environmental Afterschool Recreational Time) program has been in operation for over 40 years and is a quality after school program that many families trust and rely upon. Childcare Aides work as part of a team to supervise children in Staunton Parks and Recreation's after school childcare program. Program includes educational and recreational activities, free play, and arts and crafts at each Staunton elementary school. Aides interact with children, assist with homework, assist with snack preparation and are required to attend mandatory staff training and development. Previous experience working with children is required. Applicants must be of good character and reputation. Successful completion of all required background checks and possession of a valid driver's license and good driving record required.
Hours:
M-F 2pm-6pm.
Rate of pay:
