Job Description

Afternoon Assistant Teacher We are looking for a warm and caring person to join our team as a part-time Afternoon Assist. Teacher. Hours approx 2
  • 6pm, Monday
  • Friday.
Direct duties will include supporting the Lead Teacher in the day-to-day operations of the classroom including implementing age-appropriate activities for young children, ensuring the children's safety in the classroom and on playgrounds, creating a fun and age appropriate afternoon lesson plan, working collaboratively with other staff, and other rewarding responsibilities. Low student to teacher ratio. Child Care experience and English fluency necessary. CPR/1st Aid and other training provided. Part-time position includes paid holidays and accrued (PTO) paid vacation/sick time, childcare (as avail). Please respond ASAP! Duties to
Include:
  • Assist lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
  • Provide individual and group assistance with activities
  • Assist with the supervision and care of children in a childcare setting
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom and playground environment
  • Assist with record-keeping and documentation of student progress
Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with children and create a positive learning environment
  • Knowledge of early childhood development
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with the lead teacher
  • Organizational skills to assist with classroom management
