Teacher Assistant/ teacher

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers and enhance the learning environment for young children. This role is vital in fostering a positive, safe, and engaging educational experience for students across various early childhood settings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for child development, experience working with children, and a strong commitment to supporting inclusive education. Prior experience in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly valued. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities aligned with developmental goals Support children with their individual needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment Support behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being Provide basic first aid when necessary and follow health and safety protocols Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities that foster learning and development in areas such as language, motor skills, and socialization Assist with diapering, feeding, and toddler care as needed Collaborate with teachers to support each child's individual growth plan Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience with classroom management and behavior management techniques Familiarity with special education needs and working with children with disabilities is a plus Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary Experience with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children through babysitting, nannying, or caregiving roles is beneficial This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education who want to make a positive impact on children's lives while gaining valuable classroom experience.
