Job Description

This full-time position centers on providing dedicated 1:1 or small group assistance to elementary-aged students, fostering meaningful learning experiences and empowering academic growth. The role is located at a school nestled in a more rural setting, making it ideal for those comfortable with a scenic commute. Your support will play a key role in guiding young learners through their daily classroom activities, positively impacting their growth and confidence.
Desired Background and Skills:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional in an educational setting, particularly working with elementary-level students Familiarity with tailored instruction and individualized education plans (IEPs) is highly valued Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal abilities Capable of maintaining focus and professionalism in a 1:1 or small group context Willingness to commute to a more remote school location
What You'll Do:
Provide 1:1 support to students to ensure understanding and participation in classroom lessons Assist with small group activities, reinforcing lessons under teacher guidance Support students with social, behavioral, and emotional needs in accordance with established plans Collaborate with teachers and fellow staff to monitor student progress and contribute to classroom management strategies Model positive behavior and encourage student independence and engagement Enjoy the rewards of making a significant difference in a child's school experience each day.
