This is a part-time position (4 days per week, up to 28 hours per week) supporting an inclusive preschool classroom. This position is vital to our mission of ensuring all students achieve grade-level expectations through specialized support and inclusive practices. The successful candidate will be a skilled, caring advocate for student growth, an innovative problem-solver, and a positive contributor to our collaborative school community. Primary Responsibilities Provide direct, intensive support for individual and small groups of students in the areas of personal development, personal care, behavior support, and social-emotional skills. Promote child growth by fostering independence and self-advocacy. Facilitate effective communication, social-emotional development, and behavioral support across inclusive preschool classroom settings. Collaborate closely with the early education team, special education team, and classroom teachers to align support with student needs. Support students during transitions, which may include the bus ride to and/or from school. Maintain a flexible, creative approach to meeting student needs and demonstrate a consistent willingness to learn and implement specialized support strategies. Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding student progress and instructional goals. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess Coursework in early childhood education and 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred. A deep commitment to equitable instructional practices and inclusive education. Demonstrated strength in problem-solving and working as a collaborative team member. Exceptional organizational skills and a flexible, creative approach to meeting student needs. The physical ability to meet the requirements of the position, including lifting.
