Job Description

Waterville Elementary School is searching for a Special Education Paraeducator to join our team. The successful candidate will be a caring and collaborative paraeducator to work within our joyful community of learners.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Assist in the educational and social development of learners under the direction and guidance of the special educator and classroom teachers.
  • Assist in supporting learners' Individual Education Plans under the direction of the classroom teacher and special educator
  • Provide support for the individual, small group, and classroom-size groups of learners inside and outside the classroom
  • Work with other professionals, such as speech therapists, student support,
  • Assist and partner with classroom teachers to meet the needs of each individual
  • Use positive supports for learners with emotional or behavioral needs
    In Addition, the ideal candidate will:
  • Participate in professional learning opportunities as designated
  • Perform all duties as assigned
  • Enjoy and collaborate within a learner-centered team environment.
