Job Description
Waterville Elementary School is searching for a Special Education Paraeducator to join our team. The successful candidate will be a caring and collaborative paraeducator to work within our joyful community of learners.
The ideal candidate will:
- Assist in the educational and social development of learners under the direction and guidance of the special educator and classroom teachers.
- Assist in supporting learners' Individual Education Plans under the direction of the classroom teacher and special educator
- Provide support for the individual, small group, and classroom-size groups of learners inside and outside the classroom
- Work with other professionals, such as speech therapists, student support,
- Assist and partner with classroom teachers to meet the needs of each individual
- Use positive supports for learners with emotional or behavioral needs
In Addition, the ideal candidate will: - Participate in professional learning opportunities as designated
- Perform all duties as assigned
- Enjoy and collaborate within a learner-centered team environment.
