Mid-November 2026 About Pine Montessori Academy Pine Montessori Academy is a new Montessori early learning center in Bellevue serving children from 18 months to 6 years old. Our school is currently completing its final licensing and opening preparations, with an anticipated opening in mid-November 2026. The exact employment start date is subject to final licensing approval and operational readiness. We are seeking a caring, patient, dependable, and professional Assistant Teacher to support our Toddler and Preschool classrooms. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with the Lead Teacher to create a safe, respectful, organized, and nurturing Montessori learning environment. English-speaking and Mandarin-speaking candidates are both welcome to apply. English-Mandarin bilingual ability is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities Actively supervise children and help maintain their safety during indoor and outdoor activities Support the Lead Teacher during the Montessori work cycle, circle time, outdoor play, meals, transitions, and rest time Build warm, respectful, and positive relationships with children Assist children with toileting, handwashing, dressing, and other personal-care routines Change diapers and support toilet learning in the Toddler classroom Prepare and distribute snacks and meals according to school procedures Clean, sanitize, and organize classrooms, toys, tables, learning materials, and common areas Assist with classroom preparation, observations, daily records, and other assigned classroom responsibilities Follow the school's health, safety, emergency, confidentiality, and child-guidance policies Communicate professionally and work cooperatively with teachers, administrators, and families Participate in required training, staff meetings, and professional development Qualifications Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Must be willing to complete Form I-9, Form W-4, and regular payroll and tax-withholding procedures High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to communicate effectively in English or Mandarin English-Mandarin bilingual ability is preferred but not required Genuine interest in working with young children Patient, responsible, reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Willingness to learn and follow Montessori principles and classroom practices Previous experience in childcare, preschool, toddler care, or a Montessori classroom is preferred but not required Comfortable assisting with diapering, toileting, meals, cleaning, sanitizing, and other daily childcare responsibilities Able to perform the essential physical duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing, bending, kneeling, sitting on the floor, and safely assisting young children Must be able to provide a professional reference from a previous supervisor or coworker Required Childcare Documentation and Training The selected candidate must have or complete the following within the applicable required timeframes: MERIT account and active
