Assistant Teacher Classroom Ages 1-5 Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood center. In this role, you will support the Lead Teacher in guiding and nurturing children ages 1 to 5 in a prepared Montessori classroom, helping to foster independence, curiosity, and lifelong learning. The ideal candidate will be committed to Montessori philosophy and demonstrate strong collaboration and classroom support skills. Key Responsibilities- Assist in designing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 1-5.
- Help prepare and maintain the classroom environment to support self-directed learning and exploration.
- Support the observation and assessment of children's progress under the guidance of the Lead Teacher.
- Aid in classroom management, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Teacher and other staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Help build positive relationships with families and contribute to regular communication about student development.

- Participate in ongoing professional development and training. Qualifications
- STARS initial training (or willingness to complete)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and engage young children.
