Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote early childhood development, literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills. Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children. Support children's individual needs through tailored teaching strategies, including special education and early intervention techniques. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Maintain accurate documentation of child development progress, attendance records, and lesson plans in compliance with licensing standards. Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and welfare at all times. Collaborate with team members to plan lessons that incorporate childhood development best practices and standardized testing when appropriate. Requirements Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools. Knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management, behavior management, and child welfare practices. Familiarity with child development instruction including literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in childhood health standards is preferred. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members. Ability to follow mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality of student information.
