This full-time contract opportunity near Mount Vernon, WA, places you at the heart of an engaged and inclusive educational community, where you'll work closely with teachers and special education professionals to maximize student success.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Washington State paraprofessional credential/license or an Associate's Degree Preference for experience supporting children or students with special needs Consistent, reliable attendance and a genuine passion for making a difference Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families Commitment to nurturing student independence, confidence, and positive social skillsResponsibilities:
Provide both one-on-one and small-group academic and behavioral support to students Assist with daily classroom activities and individualized learning assignments Implement teachers' and staff instructional plans, adapting to student needs Support students who have special education needs and work toward individualized goals Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom Aid student supervision and contribute to daily classroom routines Encourage student growth, fostering self-reliance and positive interactions with peers This role offers a consistent full-time schedule of 35 hours per week and runs until June 16, 2027, allowing you to build meaningful connections and see the impact of your work over the course of the school year.
