PARAEDUCATOR FOR THE 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR ONLY
Liberty School District is looking for a Paraeducator for the 2026-27 school year only. This one-year, part-time assignment is scheduled for 6.5 hrs/day for the 2026-27 school year only. Medical, dental, and retirement benefits will be available.
INTERESTED APPLICANTS MUST HAVE OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN
High School diploma or equivalent AA degree and/or equivalent college coursework to equal a minimum of two completed years of college education or have passed the state paraeducator test Valid first aid card Interest in and/or experience working with students Interest in and availability for training opportunities Ability to work cooperatively with special services staff and regular classroom teachers Successful criminal background clearance
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE
Providing one on one and/or group supervision and assistance to students Assisting in activities directed by certificated personnel Working cooperatively with other staff members in a team situation Establishing and maintaining a positive rapport with the students served Maintaining confidentiality Lunchroom, recess, hallway and bus loading/unloading supervision as assigned Other duties as assigned

BENEFITS

Medical:
Choice of six medical plans. Employee cost is dependent upon which plan is chosen and which family members are covered.
Dental:
Choice of three dental plans. Dental insurance is a mandatory benefit and is free to the employee and family.
Life Insurance:
Basic life insurance in the amount of $35,000 is mandatory and is free to the employee. Additional/optional life insurance can be purchased at an additional cost for the employee and family.
Long-term Disability Insurance:
Basic long-term disability insurance is mandatory and is free to the employee. Additional long-term disability can be purchased at an additional cost.
