St. Paul's School & Childcare is looking for an energetic, professional individual who is excited to spend their afternoons impacting the lives and faith of children. We are seeking an individual who can work independently and within a team of staff dedicated to offering a quality and enriching learning experience to all children. Our open position includes working Monday-Friday from 1:00-3:00 in our licensed childcare and from 3:00-6:00 with our after school enrichment program. Optional extended hours will be offered over school breaks.

Essential Functions:

• Carries out daily activities in both 4 & 5 year old childcare classrooms and our K-5 after school program.
• Supervises groups of children to ensure their health and safety along with providing a positive experience for each child.
• Oversees outdoor & indoor play and activities while interacting with students.
• Professionally communicates day-to-day, confidential information with the parents/guardians.
• Follows St. Paul's policies and procedures, this includes medical, disciplinary, child abuse prevention, and emergency procedures.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings as required.
• May assist in preparing and serving snack.
• Requires general clean up of student spaces.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certifications (Infant and Adult) or willing to obtain within 2 weeks.
• Current food handlers card.
• Complete and maintain annual

HIV/AIDS

training along with Blood Borne Pathogens Training.

• Criminal background clearance through DCYF.
• TB test as required under Washington Law.
• MERIT account and completion of STARS hours or willingness to complete.
• Further training requirements and opportunities will be discussed in person.
