About this position Goldenrod Montessori School is seeking a positive, passionate, and reliable infant caregiver to assist the Lead Teacher in our Nido community serving infants. The role involves caring for infants with warmth, respect, and consistency. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with infants, honors the individuality of each child, and is eager to learn and grow within a Montessori setting. Infant care experience is preferred but not required as we are willing to train the right candidate. Key Responsibilities 1.

Infant Care and Classroom Assistance:

Support the Lead Montessori Teacher in meeting the individual biological and developmental needs including responsive bottle feeding, diapering, and supporting individual sleep schedules. Foster a nurturing and respectful environment that honors each infant's natural timeline for movement, weaning, self-care, and communication. 2.

Classroom management:

Help maintain a calm, clean, and organized classroom environment, ensuring that materials are in good condition and clean. Perform daily sanitation and hygiene procedures in accordance with health protocols. 3.

Collaboration and Communication:

Maintain open, warm, and clear communication with the Lead Teacher, colleagues, and families regarding daily care logs (feedings, diaper changes, sleep times) and infant needs. Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as directed. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive team environment. 4.

Compliance and Documentation:

Adhere to Wisconsin state daycare licensing rules and regulations, including maintaining required documentation and records. Follow proper safe sleeping practices and infant food handling/storage protocols. 5.

Health and Safety:

Adhere to the school's health and safety policies and protocols. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment

Qualifications Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Experience working with infants in a care setting is preferred, but not required.

Regulatory Compliance:

Must meet all state Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing standards and requirements.

Safety Certifications:

Current CPR and First Aid (AED) certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Background Screening:

Must successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check and fingerprinting.

Physical Demands:

Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30-50 lbs regularly.
