Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated educational team as a Teacher Assistant and play a vital role in fostering an inclusive, nurturing, and dynamic learning environment. In this paid position, you will support classroom teachers and collaborate with other professionals to meet the diverse needs of students. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create a positive space where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Hours:
M-F 12:30pm - 5pm with the potential for additional hours if desired. Responsibilities Assist classroom teachers with implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards such as literacy education, math, and early childhood development principles. Provide physical assistance and behavioral support to students with disabilities, including those with behavioral disorders and autism spectrum disorders. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies to promote a respectful learning environment. Collaborate closely with teachers and parents. Support classroom activities in preschool, toddler care, school age settings. Requirements Knowledge of behavior management for students. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively document student progress and collaborate with team members.
