Duties Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities across subjects such as literacy, math, and early childhood education Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements, ensuring they receive appropriate guidance and encouragement Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies aligned with educational compliance standards and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions to promote safety and positive social interactions Collaborate with teachers on lesson planning, tutoring, mentoring, and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities or autism Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and behavior to foster home-school partnerships Utilize computers and educational technologies to enhance learning experiences and support classroom instruction Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings preferred Knowledge of childhood development, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies Familiarity with special education practices, literacy education, math instruction, and early childhood education standards Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities, including those with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff Certification in first aid and CPR preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified Understanding of educational compliance regulations such as ESSA and familiarity with educational technologies and tools Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for supporting young learners' growth This position is an excellent opportunity for passionate individuals eager to contribute to a supportive school community while developing their skills in teaching assistance, classroom management, and child development.
