St. John's Lutheran Child Care has a positive work environment and wants to serve the families of our Jefferson community. We are looking to hire an assistant teacher. The perfect candidate will have a positive and upbeat attitude, experience with children, the ability to work easily with others, and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidates should possess CPR, SIDS, and Abusive Head Trauma training. Arrangements can be made to help applicants with these certifications. No nights or weekends. Holidays off. Some of the qualifications for an assistant teacher are as follows: Must be 18 years of age Must be a high school graduate Entry level training includes completion of one non-credit course or one course for credit in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent at an institute of higher education, or is enrolled in that course within 6 months after hire Work Remotely No Responsibilities
  • Assist lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities for children.
  • Support classroom management by supervising and engaging with students.
  • Utilize SIDS Certification knowledge to ensure a safe environment for children.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a nurturing and educational setting.
  • Utilize communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
