Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Teacher to support classroom instruction and foster a positive learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education, classroom management. This role involves assisting lead teachers in bathroom breaks, providing snacks, and assisting in cleaning up the classroom. The Assistant Teacher will play a vital role in nurturing children's growth and ensuring a safe, engaging, and classroom setting. Responsibilities Support lead teachers in developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans focused on literacy, math, and overall curriculum development. Assist with classroom management to create a structured, safe, and stimulating environment for children. Engage children in educational activities that promote early childhood development, including toddler care, preschool activities, and Montessori methods. Help with behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulation. Provide individualized support to children with special needs, including those with autism or disabilities. Support classroom routines such as meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities. Maintain effective communication with parents regarding children's progress and classroom events. Assist with classroom organization, materials preparation, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure compliance with childcare regulations and educational standards. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, private school settings, or similar environments. Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices such as Montessori or early childhood education frameworks. Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management techniques. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous. Passion for fostering a nurturing learning environment that supports diverse learners' growth and development.
