Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Prior experience as a paraprofessional or classroom aide is highly valued Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with students, teachers, and staff Ability to adapt and work with students across various grade levels (K-12) Patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for helping children learn and thrive High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in education or related field preferred

Responsibilities:

Provide instructional support under the direction of classroom teachers to individual students or small groups Assist students with academic tasks, behavioral interventions, and classroom activities Help prepare educational materials and keep learning spaces organized Encourage positive behavior and foster an inclusive, respectful classroom climate Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, or other non-instructional times as needed Support students with special needs by following individualized plans and accommodations
