Youth Mentor / Program Assistant

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Mentor / Program Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to empower youth, support their development, and foster positive growth within diverse communities. As a vital part of our youth programs, you will provide mentorship, facilitate engaging activities, and assist in implementing educational and behavioral health initiatives. Your energy, compassion, and organizational skills will help create a safe, supportive environment where youth can thrive and reach their full potential. Duties Foster positive relationships with youth through mentoring, active listening, and encouragement. Assist in planning and executing youth development activities aligned with program goals. Support behavioral health strategies, including positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS), community behavior. Collaborate with families, and community organizations to ensure holistic support for youth needs. Maintain accurate documentation of participant progress, case management notes, and program activities. Facilitate culturally responsive programming that respects diverse backgrounds and promotes inclusivity. Manage conflict resolution among participants using effective conflict management techniques while ensuring safety and respect. Requirements Experience working with children and adolescents in educational or community settings. Strong writing skills for report documentation, case notes, and communication purposes. Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations. Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve multilingual families and youth. Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
