Appointment Type Part Time Description Position Summary:

One on One Educational Assistant for a student during the Extended Learning Program.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of a High School Diploma, General Education Diploma (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) Minimum of one year of experience working in youth development or after school programs Recent experience working as a Special Education 1:1 assistant is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

No Requirement Core Competencies Must have the ability to work in a team environment. Must have strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage in positive behavior management. Good communication skills. Ability to adapt well and respond positively and resiliently to change in environment and/or job tasks and assignments Ability to work well with others and/or with little or no direct supervision Takes initiative, thinks critically, and uses deductive reasoning to address problems and issues.

Essential Functions:

Create a learning environment where students feel valued and eager to attend. Provide differentiated instruction, with mixed-grade classrooms, using existing curriculum materials or developing your own initiatives. Attend all trainings and meetings as required. Provide high-quality program facilitation. Other duties as assigned by the Site Lead and/or Director of Extended Learning.
