Job Description
The Teacher Assistant works with the Lead Teacher to ensure children at Home Ties Child Development Center at Youth Health Service, Inc. receive a quality early childhood experience while at the center. The Assistant is responsible for lesson plan implementation, maintaining the established routine of the classroom and responding to the needs of the children under their care. The successful candidate must be 18 years old and a High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with the ability to pass required background checks and have reliable transportation. Flexibility in work availability is a must; completing required training hours and ongoing professional development is required under WV Childcare Licensing requirements and desire to pursue additional certifications is encouraged. The successful candidates must be comfortable in working with ages from 6wks through 12 years old and possess confidence in working independently once fully trained.
