Assistant Teacher - Childcare / Preschool Happy Haven Daycare LLC - Hedgesville, WV 25427 Full-time | Monday-Friday | Competitive Pay & Benefits About Us Happy Haven Daycare LLC is a licensed childcare and preschool center serving children ages 2-6, with before and after school care up to age 13. Our mission is to provide a safe, faith-filled, and engaging environment where children can grow in learning, play, and God's love. At Happy Haven, staff are part of a supportive, family-oriented team dedicated to nurturing bright minds and hearts. Position Summary We are seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support the lead teacher in guiding classroom activities, supervising children, and implementing lessons that promote development spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically. The ideal candidate will be patient, energetic, and passionate about working with young children in a faith-centered environment. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lessons and activities Support classroom supervision and ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment Help with meals, diapering/toileting, and transitions throughout the day Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff Follow all center policies and WV licensing regulations Participate in staff meetings and professional development Requirements (WV Licensing-Compliant) Minimum 18 years of age High School Diploma or GED required WV Cares background check and fingerprinting clearance CPR and First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days) Health assessment and TB risk assessment completed prior to hire Completion or willingness to complete
