Chess Tutor (In-Person)

We are seeking an experienced Chess Tutor for in-person instruction in the North Central Phoenix area. This is a personal opportunity for someone who can commit to multiple hours per session, several days per week, starting within the next few weeks.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one chess instruction tailored to the student's skill level Develop structured lesson plans and track progress Create an engaging and focused learning environment Offer strategy, gameplay analysis, and skill development

Qualifications:

Chess rating of 2000+ required (2300+ preferred) Prior coaching or teaching experience strongly preferred Strong communication and instructional skills Reliable and able to commit to a consistent schedule Must be able to travel to a residence near

North Central Phoenix Schedule:

Multiple days per week Sessions will be several hours at a time Flexible scheduling based on availability Application Question(s): What is your current or peak chess rating (FIDE, USCF, or online)? Are you able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule? What level of players have you coached before (beginner, intermediate, advanced)?
