Flexible; hours vary based on student needs About the Position Excelsior Tutor LLC is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced French Tutor to provide high-quality, individualized instruction to students in the Phoenix area. This is a flexible independent contractor position, with tutoring hours and student assignments varying based on availability and client needs. The ideal candidate enjoys working with students, is dependable and communicative, and can adapt instruction to different ages, learning styles, and academic goals. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one French tutoring to students in person in the Phoenix area Support students with French language skills, including vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension Adapt lessons to students' individual needs, learning levels, and goals Communicate professionally with students and, when appropriate, parents/guardians Maintain a positive, encouraging, and engaging learning environment Provide brief updates on student progress as needed Qualifications Experience working with students in a tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or educational setting required Strong proficiency in French Reliable, professional, and comfortable working independently Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to tailor instruction to different students and learning styles Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card preferred Previous tutoring or teaching experience strongly preferred Schedule & Compensation $35/hour Flexible schedule based on student demand and your availability Hours may vary from week to week Primarily in-person tutoring in the Phoenix area Independent contractor position To apply: Please submit a resume and a brief description of your experience working with students and your French language background.
