A Tutor works with students who need additional help or review. Provides instruction in an academic subject, or reviews a particular class lesson, or assists with preparing for a test. Works with students one-on-one or in a small group, and usually meets with students outside of school.
The Part-time Senior Math Tutor is responsible for providing academic tutoring services, conducting workshops, assisting students with homework, problem solving, report writing, and test preparation both in person and through the online lab. Senior tutors act as lead tutors and maintain the Math Lab in the supervisor's absence.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Within the scope of college policies and procedures, this position: Tutors students individually or in groups to review math principles, solve problems, and review for tests; assists students with computer use; assists with math and test anxiety concerns Assists the Math Lab Supervisor with Math Lab management Provides input into operating policies and procedures Provides input on learning materials to facilitate tutoring Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements Associate's degree in math education or related field from an institution accredited by an institutional accrediting body of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education An equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may be considered

Work Environment :
Work is primarily performed under general supervision in an office setting. Evening and weekend work may be required.
Physical Requirements :
Essential functions of this position require: lifting, manual dexterity, ability to communicate.
