The ideal candidate will provide personalized, one-on-one instruction tailored to each student's academic needs, learning style, and goals, with a particular focus on Spanish language instruction and support. Our Los Angeles division is committed to supporting families with exceptional, relationship-focused educational services and providing students with engaging, effective, and personalized learning experiences. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one Spanish language instruction to students in grades K-12 Support students with Spanish language skills, including vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, conversation, and comprehension Assist students with homework, projects, study skills, and test preparation Develop individualized learning plans based on each student's needs, learning style, and academic goals Adapt instruction and teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners Track student progress and provide regular updates to families Foster a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment Build strong relationships with students and families Travel to students' homes throughout the Los Angeles, California area Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Master's degree and/or teaching certification strongly preferred Fluent or highly proficient in Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills Strong knowledge of Spanish language, grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and/or conversation Prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred Experience working with K-12 students is an asset Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners Excellent communication and organizational skills Reliable transportation Authorized to work in the United States What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation Flexible scheduling based on your availability Ongoing professional support Opportunities to work with a variety of students and learning needs Meaningful, long-term relationships with students and families The opportunity to make a measurable impact on students' academic confidence and success Schedule & Availability Tutors create schedules based on their availability and student demand. Requirements A qualified applicant will have a bachelor's degree and will also meet at least one of the following criteria: You hold a valid California teaching certificate or the equivalent thereof You are a current student teacher pursuing a teaching certificate You have 2 or more years of experience as a classroom teacher in a private, public, or charter school You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. university or college You are a Master's/PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. university or college Spanish proficiency is required for this position.
