POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Superintendent/Principal or designee, the Academic Tutor III provides academic intervention, tutoring, behavioral support, and instructional assistance to individual students and small groups. This position is designed for an individual with a strong academic background and a bachelor's degree who is able to provide targeted, high-level academic support beyond the traditional scope of paraprofessional assistance. The Academic Tutor III works collaboratively with certificated teachers, administration, intervention staff, special education staff, and student support personnel to identify student needs, implement targeted interventions, monitor student progress, and support students in developing the academic, behavioral, organizational, and technological skills necessary for success. The Academic Tutor III is expected to exercise initiative and professional judgment within established instructional plans and district practices while maintaining regular communication with certificated staff regarding student progress and needs. Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from an accredited college or university. Demonstrated strength in academic content and written and verbal communication. Experience working effectively with children or adolescents in an educational, tutoring, behavioral, youth development, or related setting. Demonstrated proficiency with computers, educational technology, and common productivity applications.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Valid California driver's license Successful completion of required background clearance and other employment requirements. Current CPR/First Aid certification required or obtained within a district-established timeframe. Additional training may be required based upon student or program needs. Requirements /
