Hours:
1-2 hours per week, with potential for additional hours as needed
Schedule:
After school/weekdays; day and time are flexible
Work Location:
In person Seeking a patient and experienced private math tutor for a 4th-grade student who needs additional support strengthening foundational math skills.
The primary focus will include:
Place value Addition with carrying/regrouping Subtraction with borrowing/regrouping Subtraction across zeros Basic math facts Building accuracy and confidence in grade-level math This is individual 1:1 tutoring . We are looking for someone who can identify gaps in understanding and teach concepts step-by-step, very light supervision of homework to ensure math concepts are learned. Experience teaching or tutoring elementary-school math is strongly preferred. Current or retired teachers, instructional aides, education majors, and experienced elementary math tutors are encouraged to apply. The ideal tutor will be patient, encouraging, dependable, and comfortable adjusting their teaching approach based on the student's individual needs. Please include a brief description of your experience working with elementary-age students, particularly students who need additional support in math.
