November 20, 2026 Bay Area Tutoring Association is seeking enthusiastic Afterschool Tutors to support elementary students through small-group literacy instruction focused on reading, writing, and English Language Arts (ELA). Many of our students are bilingual, and Spanish-English bilingual tutors are strongly encouraged to apply . This is a great opportunity for bilingual education majors, aspiring teachers, and individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience working in schools. Locations Meadow Homes Elementary School 1371 Detroit Ave, Concord, CA 94520 Cambridge Elementary School 1135 Lacey Ln, Concord, CA 94520 Responsibilities Provide small-group tutoring in reading and writing Support bilingual students and English Language Learners (ELL) Help students strengthen literacy skills, confidence, and academic success Build positive relationships with students Follow provided curriculum, lesson plans, and training materials Participate in staff meetings and professional development

Qualifications Preferred:

Spanish-English bilingual ability Experience working with children or students Education majors, teaching credential candidates, or individuals interested in education
