K-8th Grade Tutors Lofty Learning Studios Fountain Valley, CA Job Details Part-time $18 - $25 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications School experience Interpersonal skills Working with students Literacy education Time management Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated K-8th Grade Tutors to inspire and support students across a wide range of subjects, including English language arts, mathematics, science, writing, and test preparation. In this role, you will deliver engaging instruction tailored to diverse learning styles, foster academic growth, and build confidence in students from various cultural backgrounds. Your energy and instructional expertise will help students unlock their full potential and develop essential skills for their academic journey. Duties Implement customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for students in Kindergarten through eighth grade. Assist students with daily homework assignments and school projects. Provide tutoring in core subjects such as English language arts, mathematics, science, and writing. Adapt instructional methods to meet the unique needs of each student, including those requiring special education support. Work with multiple students at once while providing engaging and effective instruction. Foster a positive, structured, and productive learning environment by managing classroom behavior and encouraging active participation. Motivate and encourage students to develop confidence and independence. Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting instruction accordingly. Track and record student progress and maintain accurate student records. Communicate student progress and concerns with parents when needed. Communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors and other team members. Stay organized and prepared for daily tutoring sessions. Experience Prior experience teaching or tutoring K-8 students in academic subjects such as math, science, writing, or English language arts. Strong academic content knowledge in K-8 Math, Language Arts, Reading, and Writing. The ability to motivate, engage, and encourage students. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to maintain accurate student records and document academic progress. A positive, patient, reliable, and professional attitude. Proficiency in using learning technology platforms for online instruction and virtual tutoring sessions (if needed). Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and educational teams. Relevant tutoring, teaching, educational experience is preferred, but not required. Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 16.0 per week
